The Barracuda is a harnessed adaptive fishing rod holder designed to assist individuals with upper body mobility disabilities. By helping distribute energy to the shoulders, back, stomach, and legs, the Barracuda allows the user to hold a fishing rod securely in front of him or herself with either the right or left hand. The Barracuda is made from corrosion resistant aircraft aluminum, stainless steel and nylon hardware, Polypropylene webbing, and high-impact plastic buckles and connectors. All of the aluminum parts that make up the Rod holder are powder coated for extra protection and durability. Any style fishing rod handle can be used with the Barracuda, as long as it is less than 1¼ inches in diameter, but it works best with a gimbal rod butt. The gimbal locks into the pivot bolt which prevents the rod from twisting when reeling a fish on the line.
